Sell Hair With No Inventory
STEP ONE- RECEIVE ORDER FROM CUSTOMER
After posting photos and videos of your hair on social media accounts such as Instagram, you'll eventually start getting people inquiring about the hair you sell. People will start visiting your website and before you know it someone will place an order. When they place their order, they will checkout with Stripe, Paypal whatever payment processor you provide on your website
Does Paypal/Stripe hold money?
Yes. This process may take 1-4 days, sometimes longer especially if you are a brand new account.
You have 2 options at this point:
1. Wait until the payment clears before moving to STEP 2
2. Use money out of your pocket. This can be money that you just received from your pay check. Or money that you had saved. Remember you are TEMPORARILY using this money. once the money your customer has sent you cleared you will simply 'refund' yourself
STEP TWO- ORDER FROM YOUR VENDOR
After the customers money is cleared or if you decided to use money you had, you will place an order with your vendor
This process will only work if your vendor accepts small orders. A lot of people say most vendors require you to purchase 10 or more bundles at a time, that isn't necessarily true.
After you pay your vendor, they will prepare your order and ship out your order. At this point you have 2 options:
1.They can send the hair directly to your customer for you.
This method is considered drop-shipping. You never get the chance to see the actual product. This is something you would have to ask your vendor if they provide this service (most likely will have to pay additional fees)
2. The vendor sends the hair to you.
STEP THREE- SHIP ORDER TO YOUR CUSTOMER
After you receive the hair from your vendor, you will now replace the vendor packaging with your own. Add your custom labels, business card and thank notes. #Vistaprint is great website to order any custom labels you may need. There you go, your hair is ready to ship!
